Kawika is a gender-confused mama’s something-or-other, a gasoline-and-fire mixture of Irish, Chinese and Filipino, and a heathen with just enough faith to keep writing fiction. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in JMWW, Smokelong Quarterly, Annalemma, and The Monarch Review. He spends his days endlessly revising his novel in Nanjing, China, where he also teaches multicultural literature and edits for the journal decomP.
